Aims & Scope

Journal of Community Hospital Internal Medicine Perspectives (JCHIMP) is a peer-reviewed, international, open access journal disseminating information relevant to the community hospitals.

JCHIMP aims to provide up-to-date information in the field of Internal Medicine to community hospital medical professionals and a platform for clinical faculty, residents, and medical students to publish research relevant to community hospital programs.

JCHIMP welcomes submissions focusing on the unique medical dilemmas facing community hospitals, including topics such as:

  • The best practices of community academic programs
  • Community hospital-based research
  • Opinion and insight from community hospital leadership and faculty
  • The scholarly work of residents and medical students affiliated with community hospitals

    JCHIMP accepts original research papers, case reports, reviews, editorials and letters to the editor.

    The journal operates a double-blind peer review policy.

    All articles will be made freely and permanently available online through gold open access publication.
